It is customary, in this bizarre day and age, to base your opinion of any football team on the last 7 or 8 games (or less, in some cases) that they have played. And it’s not just the fans. Feel free to listen to the “expert” opinions that are poured forth on the BBC’s Being a football fan is really difficult. Those that follow the most successful teams are rarely satisfied as their team must win every game and every trophy in order for them to achieve satisfaction. Then again, the fans that cheer on the others just want their team to be as successful as those above. He may be my father but that doesn’t mean I have to agree with all of his views on our beloved football club. After Saturday’s disappointing performance at home to Blackburn, the old man has clearly had enough of our most successful manager ever.
